Actually no. Due to a lot of shops are pulling crazy from these imports with lil money. You got to remember there is budget builders everywhere.. And a lot of places sale parts for dirt cheap cuz they don't know what they have when it comes to imports. There is a Civic here that has maybe $1100 in it. And has a B16A1 a turbo from a Saab custom made header and exhaust with a Vtech Timer, with adjustable cam gears and underdrive pullies. And I have seen this car smoke plenty of V8s around here.

I'd place good money that $1100 383 will outrun that $1100 civic over any stretch of time.

The race would be like this, 10 back to back 1/4 mile passes, followed by a high speed pass. 10-1 says the ricer doesn't stay together AND outrun the 383.

I dunno he runs it out at the track here all the time and it hasn't broke yet.. And this is no ricer.. there is a big difference between "ricer" and "tuner" this civic looks just about stock. Other then it has black mesh grills in the stock bumper to hide the intercoolier, HAS its hubcabs, doesn't have some big ass 5" tip stickin out the rear, no body kits or wings. Just a clean car with a really clean install..

well this is his 4dr its white... But he does have a clean black one and a red one. the black one is a 2dr HB and the red one is just a 2dr coupe...

my 2.8 would beat any 2.8 would be any 2.8 (that doesnt have nos or some sort of forced induction) on this bored.

anyways, im only going to be a 2.8 for about 2 more months then im dropping in a 355. here is a question though, would my stock T-5 borg (i think thats it) hold up to a 355?

Highly doubt it.. It should bolt up with the right bellhousing. But they aren't build for the torque that your 355 will put out.

as far as beating any other 2.8 thats about stock i could beat. my intake...custom chip...gears...and a couple other things, i think its quite possible.

Oh well, as this project starts rolling ill post pics and update it on a regular basis.
