This should be an easy one fo rthe gurus out there. When accelerating there is a not so sweet spot on the gas peddel where my 84 Blazer almost stalls, press a little harder and it kicks back in like nothing ever happened. I tried cleaning the carb and throttle assembly with some carb cleaner bu no change. So I either have to gun it or accelerate at a crawl, no in between lol. Happens in overdrive or drive. Any thoughts? Tranny problems maybe? Obviously I am clueless, but trying to learn.
Also, anyone know where this hose goes, I'll buy a Chilton soon, ran out of $$ lol

Sounds like an EFI problem to me...
I want to bet your computer is dumping lots of fuel all the sudden during closed loop and when you hammer it, it goes into open loop, so the computer isnt messing things up.
Hell I dont know for sure.

Hmmm, I took a lok at that picture and notices you have a carb.
I can tune a carb on 4 gas machine, and all that jive but I have no experience troubleshooting on.
And what does that hose connect to on the other end? I cant see in the picture.
again, SPARK!!!!

First, disconnect the hose to the egr valve and see if that cures it.
If that's not it, most likely cause is a bad secondary air diaphragm vacuum break. It's the choke pull off that holds the secondary air valve shut. When idling, it should be pulling the linkage holding the air valve from opening.
