After installing new AC Delco 41-932's with correct .060" gap, I've noticed that FM stations up around 106 Mhz will pickup the ignition sound. The sound will follow the RPM's up and down and is real annoying. I don't believe this was the case before the plug change. I double checked the antenna lead to make sure it was not contacting a spark plug wire and even put a piece of split black plastic wire loom around it to better insulate it, but still the popping. The antenna routing is way away from any spark plug wire and I can't seem to figure out how the interferance is getting into the system.
I still have the stock Delco head unit. Is there a resistor plug for the 4.3l V-6 that I should have installed? Guess I need to get off my ass and install my Sirius unit into it!!!
Thanks...
Bill.

What kind of plug wires did you install when you changed your plugs?

I installed new 7mm wires. I think they were Autolite brand from Advance Auto Parts. I loomed them nicely. Think they could be the culprit?

Pulled out the new Autolite wires and replaced them with a real set of Delco wires in and poof! the ignition noise was gone!

Moral of the story... ya get what ya pay for. This time, OEM was actually better; more expensive, but better.:)

resistor plugs vs non resistor plugs .......
non resistor plugs will generate noise
