Hi Im steve I got a 1991 chevy s10 its wrecked now so I decide its an easy time to upgrade so I'd like to take some ideas and suggestions this thing is bone stock

I did all the work myself and have about $2,000.00 in parts and a lot of that is body panels to replace the rust.

Another Welcome from here! Half the guys on here are gonna tell you to slam it, the other half (like me) are gonna tell you to small block it and have a screamer. Look around, there are plenty of ideas either finished or underconstruction on here for you to decide what direction you want to go. What ever that direction is, we will try and give you as much support and help as we can

I definately want a screamer, trucks that are slammed and sittin on airbags and hydraulics just dont appeal to me, I want my truck to have a small block 350 if I can make it fit but 305 H.O. would be nice too, my truck is a standard cab short bed and I'd like it to be all black with some kind of bodykit a ramair hood nice rims blackedout headlight and tailights I'd like to replace the bench seat with buckets and the cluster with either a sunbird cluster or one out of cameo or syclone with the bulbs inside the clusters replaced to a led setup I seen on a thread on here....

you can still drop it to give a stance just static drop, just my opinion. Welcome always good to see more and more people. and for like $12,000 you can make a 4.3 put 1200hp just look at www.raceprovenmotors.com (http://www.raceprovenmotors.com) (i do want the stroker kit)

The 305 and the 350 are the exact same block dimensionally, the only thing diff. is the bore. Without major modification you cna fit the following motors. 283, 302, 305, 307 (But why would you want to?), 327, 350, 377, 383, 400, and a 406. All of these motors are in some way shape or form a derivitve of the Gen 1 small block, the differences are the bores and strokes.

Hey whats wrong with a SBC and going low???? I mean there is something about cruising and inch from the ground and knowning you got hella power infront of you. Thats why I'm dropping a SBC and baggin my truck.

thats what Im saying I want my s10 powered by a small block thats low and handles like a car not a four banger sitting on the ground thats all show and no go....Im debating wether to keep the five speed ormake it an automatic with the shifter on the floor

Alright we are on the same page then.. And I'm havin the same problem you are. I want a stick. But people say the T-5 can't handle the power and I can't afford a T-56 and I dunno if a NV3500 or whatever comes out of the fullsize will work with a carbed truck.
