What'ca working on? We need year and engine size. However, most of them are all the same. The upper radiator hose attaches to a bolt-on housing on the intake manifold. Remove the two bolts holding the half-round housing to the manifold. Remove the housing and the thermostat underneath, noting the direction of the thermostat. Replace the thermostat (right side up) and the gasket. Its best to clean the mating surfaces of the manifold and the housing, then re-install the thermostat housing. some guys use a gasket sealer, some don't. If you have a newer engine there will be an o-ring that won't need sealer or replacing (typically) the first time you have the housing off. Add a little water or anti-freeze if necessary and you're on your way. If you want to go the extra mile, clean and repaint the housing when you have it off. (Or do what I did and have it chromed.
