'91 S10 Blazer vs. Eclipse GSX

This past weekend, around 1:30AM, I was hanging out with my friend. We were out driving in his blazer and we were at one of the lights of a highway exit. Up comes a "hotrod" Eclipse GSX. These are all you here about at my school. Just some info on them...210HP(WOW), and 3200lbs, AWD, and turbo. Well, these lights that we are sitting at have the same cycle so if you drive here alot, you learn them(which my friend does....and Mr. Eclipse, apparently)

Well, the lights are cycling and there is no point because there is no other person at any other light. The light right before ours turns red and pretty much as soon as it does the Eclipse tries to get a head start. We waited the extra second until green and he stomped it. In the end, the head start did no good for the Eclipse since he lost by about 8 cars lengths....and the best part is that he turned off at the first side road.

I know somebody that has a CRX(no offense to anybody who owns one) that the eclipse guy can race if he wants to win.

What did this Blazer have done to it because I'm skeptical that a stock Blazer beat a turboed Eclipse.I'm all for a import kill but keeping it real is a must.

Yea I would have to agree with Tommy again on this one (damn two in one day this is getting bad) Unless that guy has no driving skills there is no way for a stock Blazer to beat it. So throw up a mod list or something.

Umm andre, that was Max that posted that. I am also gonna have to fly the BS flag on this one. LIke max said, import kills are awesome, but a turboed ecplise would run a 4.3 blazer stock for stock. THey are built for different things.

Sorry to thread jack but i gotta good story. I was driving my buddies 05 WRX STI (300hp and 300 ft lb) and i seen 4 guys get onto the autobahn behind me with a drop top eclipse with chrome 18's bumpin and tryin to be real cool. Kris's windows are blacked so they couldnt that i was by myself and just a little white guy, (it was the ghetto of Frankfurt Germany). I went slow in 3rd high RPMs and waited for them to try to pass me then i romped on it and shot by them, blow-off purged right next to them. then waited for them in 4th gear, 5th, and finally 6th. I guess they topped out around 135 or so i would shoot by at 150 then slow down and do it again. They were in the middle lane and i would pass them on the left, then get in the right lane and brake than do it again. The driver was getting pissed but the other guys were hoopin and hollarin. Well we both got off at the Hanau exit, (they are military too and hanau has like 8 little bases) and we stopped at the light side my side. I rolled down the window and told him that wheels are really cool, and gave the thumbs up. Needless to say he didnt wanna hear what i had to say. Poor bastard. I gotta say if i was gonna go ricin' i would get one of those.

I never said his blazer was stock. He has a 350 in it. MOD LIST: It has a posi rearend, turbo mufflers, 5 spd, fiberglass hood, roller rockers, hedman hedders, aluminum heads, aluminum intake, aluminum 800cfm carb. And GSX's are heavier than most 2wd S10 Blazers.

GSX's aren't very impressive, first of all the GST's stock are faster then a stock GSX. And my dad's Cobalt SS has better acceleration than a GSX.

BS stories are like at school, someone said that their Civic hatchback beat a 01 Camaro SS.

Well that tid bit of information would have been relevant in the original thread.Again I love a good import kill but I am not gonna believe all the bull**** stories out there that claim to kill a Sport Compact in a vehicle that would have no chance.I work with a guy who has a SRT4 with the stage 3 kit and a couple grand more invested in it that comes real damn close to keeping up with me and my car is fast.If mine was a stock WS6 he would win no doubt about it.But some people hate the thought of that and refuse to believe it.When it is simple math.Small car with gobs of power against a large car with gobs of power.But anyway glad to here a good import kill none the less.

Well, when you leave out a teeny little piece of information like the fact that it had an aluminum head small block under the hood, people start to wonder!

not knowing what's under the hood makes a story suspenseful. I got another story....my 2.8 beat a GSX....that's BS

too bad Jason(my friend) doesn't go to my school, me and him would be good competition after this summer, if I get that 383 in there. How hard would it be to make my blazer a 5 spd? or how much would it cost?
