Has anyone every seen a 3 2 BBL setup on a carbed 4.3L? I saw one a long time ago before I even had a blazer. If anybody knows where to find them, that'd be cool. I came across a cheap s10 that I might put my 4.3L into. and I thought it'd be pretty cool to have a 3 2 setup. just cruisin with 2 BBL then stomp on it and have all 6.

It would require a custom intake as no one ever made a 3-2 for a 4.3.

Also, the Rochester 2 barrel is rated at 350 cfm. That would give a total of 1050 completely drowning the motor. However, the end carbs being vacuum actuated, with a very strong spring and restricted vacuum signal, it could be made to work.

Other than cool factor (which would be high) I'd consider it the wrong way to go.

thanks, sparky, for the advice.

right now my 4.3L is TBI and I want it carbed w/ no computer. should i get a spread bore 4BBL or a square bore 4BBL. would a quadrajet be good on it too? also, I'd need another kind of distributor. what kind would that be?

Could anyone tell me what all I need to get to change from fuel injected to carbed. I think I just need an intake manifold, carb, and distributor. And will hedders work on a 2wd that were on a 4x4?

you dont even have to buy a new intake manifold. They make adaptors for carb to TBI, but the TBI intake manifold is junk. I owuld go with the edel 2114 and throw a 500cfm squarebore on it. Dont go with the quadrajunk, get a nice weber, or edel. the tuning on those is so much simpler. As far as ditributor, you could re-use yours, i believe the wires that go to the computer need to be hooked up to a 12v source with a 700ohm resistor wired in, but im not for certan. Your fuel system also would requrie attention. I fuel pressure regulator plumbed in would have you set. (TBi is around 13-15psi, carb needs no more than 8psi)

how about this as a carb...... http://store.summitracing.com/default.asp?Ntt=550+cfm+carb&searchinresults=false&Ntk=KeywordSearch&DDS=1&N=115&target=egnsearch.asp I don't think thats too bad of a price. Oh and I'm going from TBI to carb.....not carb to TBI.

does anybody have a set of chrome valve covers for a 4.3L for sale?

this may be a ridiculous question but I saw a can of chrome spray paint for "exhaust manifolds". Is this stuff worth $5? or should they be paying me to take it from them?

as far as the carb, you would be better off with a 4bbl 500cfm than a 550 2bbl. I realize you are going from tbi to carb, thats why i said "They make adaptors for carb to TBI" instead of TBI to carb
