what rear you all have

so what rearend do all you have with your v8s i just have a 10 bolt but just got done with new heads cam and all that stuff, sould be in the 12s but i dont think the rear will hold any ideias?

Im gonna run the stock 7.5" for all 10 minutes before I grenade it with a nice little smokey. Then Im either gonna upgrade to the 8.5" with disc out of an s10 or the ford 8.8, still not decided

when you go to the 8.8 how you going to get your wheels to fit ? and if i wanted a 8.5 what would i get it out of ? 4.3 with a stick i dudno what year tho

The 8.8 is 3" wider, so you can either get the axles narrowed, or run a differently backspaced wheel. As far as the 8.5, They were in ZR2's, some ZQ8's, (also some xtremes) and a special option on 4.3 trucks.

we went to strange engineering got the S-60 its a GM 12 bolt with Dana 60 internals, can handle loads of power. i dont remember off hand but i believe it was less than 3 grand.

You can buy a complete narrowed 9" for 1500 with strange axles

a friend of mine had one in his v8 s10 and thats what he told us he paid for it.
