yeh im not sayin that badv6 blazer didnt smoke a 600, but maybe that guy just cant ride, the new 600s are pretty damn fast, we run em in our micro midgets not stock though. But i know for a fact an old stock 96 cbr will run an 11 sec. 1/4 mile, and thats pretty old. But im not tryin to nock any1 but its the truth
I hear where you are coming from.My main advantage is the AWD.I can do 1.70 60' on cobblestones. The last bike I raced was a Yamaha R6.I stayed ahead up to 70,then he flew past me like I was in reverse.

i took out and early style lightning(b4 the sc)....never lost to another s-10 except when my fuel pump was bad....lots of imports.....nothing special really

Dont mean to be a ****, but im gonna have to call bull**** here. We all know what a 4.3 is capable of, especially with your mods. THe fact that you claim you are putting 300 to the wheels with intake and exhaust is rediculous. Try again.

I've had my 4.3L in for 900 miles now and raced 3 cars.

First was a Prelude probably a 99 or so. It has an intake and exhaust. Beat him off the line bad, had about 3 lengths on him then around 65 he started creeping up to about 1 length from me by 95. (This car was ranked 4th at our school...i guess I am now)

Second was a stock 04 cavalier 2.4....wasn't much of a challenge

Third was around 01 or 02 civic. I was meeting my dad to go pressure washing at a local best buy, barnes and noble and office max. It was around 130 or 2 am. These two guys pulled up next to me in a completely riced out civic w/ and exhaust and probably an intake, a body kit, rims and NGK, NOS and MUGEN power stickers running down the fender behind the front wheels....well i started off normal and they gunned it, by like 10mph i floored it and my tires spun into 2nd(not the best of tread...but it made me smile) I beat them by like 4 lengths to the next light. Then a caprice pulled up and we were all three in a line. This caprice was sitting as high as my brothers Z71 w/ a 4" lift(well maybe not that high) It had like 24's on it. But I didn't race I had to get gas. What do caprices have in them it was like a late 90s model....do they have an LT1?

what style 4.3 did you swap? is it modded?

Some had a 4.3l v8... might of been an LT1. I doubt you would of won if it was. lol

my 4.3 came out of an 86 monte carlo. the only thing stock about it is the block, heads, power steering pump and ac pump.

I got a mild cam, roller rockers, hydraulic lifters, HEI distributor, 4bbl carb, holley intake manifold, k&n intake, headers, keith black pistons...and a few other things. oh and it only has 25K on it, it was built in 2003 by my dad.

What do yall think itd run in the 1/4 w/ a crappy reaction time? at the scales it weighed 2796 but ive gained 10lbs or so.

well, its gutted now...nothings inside except for a driver seat, steering wheel and speedometer, it has only a 13 gallon gas tank instead of 22 gal. scales could be off but its what it read.

Im all happy to hear of a Import kill but I feel the guy was just toying with you.I have driven those cars and they are no slugs at all.They are very responsive and lack the usual turbo lag that most have. and rev really tight.Pretty impressive if driven right.So I have my high doubts about the win.

Yup. Not too hard either. Some compression, full-length headers, decent cam, high stall converter, 4.10's and you should be in there.

I have beet a lot of the older 5.0 stangs and two 92 25th anniversery camaro's both where 5.0 sitcks...A few civic si's, integra, xtreme, full size chevy trucks, and f150's are the slowest things ever lol, ummm im starting to space but today i raced a 2000 ss camaro on the 60 freeway and he smashed on me pretty bad!! Was not stock by the way but Its to be expected anyways...

I always think its funny how ricers think that their car can smoke anything just cause its loud. Killed to many cars like that to count. Most of them are driven by kids at my school. My truck is pretty much the fastest vehicle at my school, its kinda cool that I can brag about that.

Just a little update, beat a Ram 1500 with the 5.2 or 5.7 Hemi, not really sure. But he kept up with me til about halfway through 3rd, 60 mph, and from a stop I had him by a couple of lengths when i shifted to 3rd. The funny part was that he did the ricer drive-by when I slowed down.

O yea, in my last post i wasnt meaning to brag or anything. No one at my school that has raced me has won, some very close. But ive been beat one severay occasions, like a BMW X3 or 5, the SUV

I can't take much,
other v-6 fullsized.
I can take stock 4.8 fullsized
a couple s-10's but most modded 4.3's beat me
V-6 mustangs, but I had a co-worker beat me once with hers. (modified)
I used to beat my flatmate's turbo 4cyl 78' mustang, but than he got a LT1 police caprice and can whoop my truck once he gets traction.

this truck is great for taking people off the line, but once 50mph hit's all I see are tail lights.

here's a vid of me draggin against a mustang at sears point. This is before all of my major mods... I think I had exhaust and a Hypertech tuning...warning: turn the volume down! the tire squeel from the cheap 235's are intense!

17.636 @ 75.56MPH in the 1/4, thats when I decided this thing will never make a suitable racer.... until the V-8 gets built and dropped in

Hmm interesting stuff here. I havent been racing around since reducing the time I drive my T/A. I like to mod up and f**k around in the truck, but no real races. I did have a lady in a SRT Magnum try me out one day. She got on it at a light and I was suprised she was tryin to run. So I said f**kit and went too. She jumped out and I pulled around faitly easily in second. By time I hit third(which i was balls-ass-slow at that day) the SRT had pulled back even. Since I have 3.08s and the big end is where the truck feels best, I think I couldve taken it or at least been even. But traffic stopped that from happening. Ive had a few Silverados and ricers. But nothing I even care to mention. FYI the SRT run was with a FIPK/flowmaster/CFM-tech blade and that was all at that time.

Man I wish I had a video of this but it was sweet. I pulled up next to a 94-95 mustang GT. I revved and he looked at me all snarky, laughed and then gave me the heads up. Hahahahaha, little does he know.....I have 4.10 gears, centerforce clutch kit, traction bars, hypertech, custom exhaust with a super 40, K&N intake. The light turned green, we took off. I had him off the line and grabbed hard through 4th gear. He was with me the whole time and gained minimal ground. I had him by about a hood length.

Ok...B4 you read and reply, I do realize I brought a knife to a gunfight. So the other day I was heading down one of Tallahassees long straight roads. I had this guy in a WRX next to me at a light. I was wondering if maybe he would try me out. He was checkin out the Dime pretty hard and he was on the exhaust note side. We got cought up in traffic and he whipped through some cars like a dumbass on a slolom course. When I was clear I jmped on it and cought up. Wouldnt you know...RED LIGHT!! So light changed and we got on it. I pulled hin in 1st which was a suprise since i have 3.08s. I chiped 2nd powershifting. By the toip of 2nd he was pulling back the car and half I got him. And yes he was racing the whole time. By the time I got 3rd he was starting to pull ahead but not that convincingly. He waived as he went by. At the next light I told him ' you didnt pull me that bad'. Of course he said he wouldve kept going bye bye. Which could be true. He said he had some VAFC thingy, downpipe to full exhaust and a bunch other crap. I got beat but I wasnt ashamed. Hell, my T/A wouldve long been gone off him. LOL Just thought Id share. I finally got a race!!I just was wondering what people beat with thier trucks.

You could chek www.intellichoice.com, and look under used vehicles.Select your year and trim, then check under the 'specifications section' on the left hand sidebar. This should tell you everything from weight to gas mileage and everything in between. According to this, your truck weighs 3,752 lbs(curb weight), and his weighs exactly 3,100 lbs, also in curb weight. Keep in mind that weight isn't all that matters. You have a bigger motor, and it's a chevy! Haha.

Ranger: (not sure if its right)
Curb Weight: 3313 lbs.

Couldnt find one exactly for a zr2 but for a non zr2
Curb Weight: 3761 lbs.

It will prob. be a close race. He might get you though. The SOHC 4.0s have more top end than the 4.3 (downfall of the 4.3:( ) . My moms explorer has one.

I agree he might take me but, I have the chevy :-) Also have cold air intake that he doesn't have but that honestly shouldnt make up THAT much of a difference. So. An Impy SS (95-96) pulled up next to me at a light the other day. I kinda thought he was going to get on it since his lane would need to merge. We started off across the intersection which was a 2 lane road. He floored it nd so did I. I broke em loose and the down-up-down crossing the other road didnt help which my nearly deceased tires didnt help either. He got up on me about 1/2 car length. Just as I got traction it was time to shift to 2nd. I hit it hard and broke them again but kept on it and didnt loose ground. By the time we hit 3rd, he was going to have to make a choice about the merge or guardrail. I let off and let him go. I would like a re-match. Even if on the same tires, at least not starting out on a uneven up-dn-up surface. I dont have the rear-end weight to keep traction with that going on. His Impy was lowered, had full exhaust by the sound and also sounded like an intake on it when he layed on it. But thats my story and Im stickin to it. Hehehe

Even spinning all through 1st and only a brief sec of traction during the 2nd shift B4 it broke again for a few feet, the S felt pretty strong and kept up decently. It would be an interesting re-match. I saw him again a few days later, but we were going opposite ways. Thing is we seemingly live on the same part of town, so Im sure Ill get the opportunity again =)

Yup, unfortunately these days all my truck seems to kill is my bank account as well. I've challenged my boyfriend in his ranger a few times and he seems to take me each and every time. On the registration renewel I got, It said my truck was over 4,000lbs. My boyfriends ford ranger is more around 3,000. I think the Z's probably do weigh a little more than the average s10 given the wider frame and what not. IDK. I don't get it, I thought the Chevy would own the Ford.

lol naw not into that. I want the kind of power you only buy once! (well if it was a perfect world where everything worked properly, LOL) My next goal is to get some better exhaust on my truck but I have to save up for that. I want a flowmaster super 40 with a custom Y pipe single in dual out.

I'm always rubbing in his face how chevys rule blah blah blah. All personal opinion and experience to me. I just love my truck. I wish it could take his stock vs stock but i'm going to assume the weight plays a factor since I have the 4.3 vortec and he has the 4.0. I guess a race is a race, if you win you win. If you lose you lose. hehe

well last night was an interestin night.......i was drivin around town w somt friends and a 1998 mustang gt rolled in to town so i started messin with him on the 4-lains and stayed neck at neck from 30-100 and then i told him to drag race me so we went out and i got to use them 4:10 gears hehe.....i took him by 3 car lengths, must have been some driver error but he wouldnt race me again when i wanted to put money on it. i have a 1997 sonoma Powerdyne supercharger 9psi. 4:10 gears TCI Trans kit corvette servo. 2800 stall converter......OWNED

when I had my 88 s-15 jimmy I used to race other s-10's at traffic lights. my little 2.8 was fast off the line compared to a 4.3l similar year but slow at the end. I also had it idling at 2000 rpms.
Since I have been driving my 2001 Blazer ZR2, no one wants to. I figure when I get a Flowmaster 40 or super 40 I might have more chances

I miss riding. I used to have a built haro vector (dont remember which one it was, believe it was the v3 frame. Bontragger bars and head piece (dont rember what its acutally called but the part that holds the bars), Chilli grips, RockShox Judy's. Lizzard Skins chain guard. I basically took the best of the bmx and mountian bike world, modified them to work together (all my buddies rode bmx, i hated little bikes) and had what I thought was a bulletproof combo...till I broke my bottom bracket

I used to love Mt biking. Even entered a race once (crap, I was happy just to finish, was a lot harder than I expected) did alright, and had a blast, though it nearly killed me. Nothing like a 30 foot uphill run in soft sand (think beach sand) in the middle of the course to sap your strength. I still own my favorite bike, a Trek Y11. Carbon fiber frame full suspension bike. I dont mind car clubs at all. Its just when your clubs best car mods are scaffolding, neons and stickers, you are a joke. No need to have a huge banner either. TMCA is Tallahasse Muscle Car Assoc and has a subtle TMCA decal on some members rides. The GMCA in Gaiesville is the same. IDK if its an affiliate, but the same type of guys are involved in both. Mostly V8 RWD cars, respectable Imports like RX7s and such and no sticker queens or AutoZone performance isle specials. We had a couple groups here that started well (Upgrade was a import/4banger and 6cyl group known to build actually respectable stuff and ZeroLatitude which started out a lowering truck/sport handling tuner group) Both kinda got ricey. ZL started the 'bigger banner is better' phase and Upgrade became a decal display too. Its a sheme. I didnt mind those guys out at the street..uh..races (not condoned) and they brought good stuff, but when the meeting spot became a Nopi meet and they started crap like whos neons flash the best, etc. thats when it all went downhill.

Of course after I build the new motor to go under the new S/C. 300 fwhp on motor then figure anothe 200 from the charger that outta do it. Say around 400hp at the wheels in a 3500lb truck. Yeah, I would say that would do it. They rate the TB SS at 390hp, and they weight around 5000lbs. You saying that makes me even more excited to see you finish this. :)

A Lightning lol I had 1 an '03. Just hope to god he didnt tune it and change the pullys cause mine kicked ass. Scared the **** out of me once almost lost control lol. But that truck was a pig gas guzzlin monster haha.

Like my 4.3 pritty good on gass< I dont care what the reviews say.
Just gotta get that puppy blown.

OK, so I was en-route to my friends casa last night to go out and get crunk. I came up on this 2000-ish Ranger. Mudder tires in the back and all jacked up (just the rear), total redneck ride. He had a Flowmaster decal in the rear window but Im pretty sure there was no muffler or cat....maybe no y-pipe. Sounded like a dying calf in a hailstorm. But he thought it sounded good.....apparently....cause I got the showoff to hit the rev limiter about a dozen times. We were in traffic and he was weaving and driving it like a idiot on a 3-lane road here. Pulling along side me and revving..the whole nine. So we got up to this light, he was behind me and revving and popping the clutch. I thought the a$$hole was gonna buck into my rear end. That wouldve been a bad night for him.
So, light turns and I drop the clutch just enough to spin but get enough traction to take off. Left him soooooo badly.
We get to the next light, this time he was ready but still behind me. I roll off to about 10MPH and gave him a running start. He whipped out to the right to pass me and I laid into it, just in time to hit 2nd hard. The front end bucked up and I lurched ahead of him like a fat girl going for a Klondike bar.
He still didnt get it. So after the next light was a long straight road out of town. We took off and around 50, with him about 8 cars or more back I let off. I coasted into 4th gear. He cam up along side with it laid out, I pushed in the clutch, revved it to 4500 and dropped the clutch. Going 50 and dropping it like that into 3rd makes the tires chirp and I lunged back out ahead convincingly.
So next thing I know, Im doing 100MPH and and all I see is one blurred headlamp.
I turned around and went back to town and he followed. But I was through with that. I proved my point and he wasnt smart enough to figure it out. So he decided to speed off. I just cruised and got up to him at the last light. I just looked over and smiled. He just nodded in defeat as I told him " you aint got sh*t".
So thats my 1st race in a while.
My 2nd one in a while happened last night too. I was Designated Driver. I drove my buddys new 06 GTO M6. Our friend was driving his wifes 06 Accord V6 and talking sh*t. So I got the go ahead to shut that down. And dang! 6.0 has some GO!!! we were doing 120 B4 either of us realized it......and no sign of Honda about that time =)

one night I was driving my ex home. The last red light heading out of town I roll up onto this civic. spiffy wheels nice paint huge huge spoiler and some ground effects and a tip big enough to stick your leg in. Well I wasn't lookin for a race so i coasted up in neautral and he pegs the limiter on his car i was like ha really? so the passenger rolls down the window and asks to race i was like eh why not. *wasn't no traffic out at all* so the light turned green and he chirped his little tires. Well i dumped the clutch and a few seconds later all i could see was his headlights far far back. Well about 5miles out of town theres another stop light and i was thirsty so i rolled up to a gas station by the intersection and got out and he sat in the road while the light was green and was waiting for me to come back and race him again. he finally got the jist and left.

another night my cuz wanted to race my truck. he has a 94 silverado 350, heads, headers, cam'd, intake, exhaust, chip etc... so i was like eh why not, might lose to him. Well the first race i launched him hard and beat him by about 6 car lengths. (and this was me only shifting at 4k)(we have two bridges here exactly 1/4 mile apart). Well the second time i told him i only shifted at 4k so he said he broke loose badly and told me to red line it and give it all she has so i was like ok. we both took off he hooked and i hooked hit second gear and i was gone. he came back into town and said the second race he lost by at least 10 car lengths lol. now he's tryin to find a s10 for gas mileage but that can still get the job done for quickness ;)

On one hand you have the auto which is a 4L60E/700R4 in our case. Has a low 3.06 first and overdrive gearing. Added they come stock with a 3.42 (98-up models) rear gearing. The 5 speed has a less deep 1st and a 3.08 rear gearing. The auto has more Tq multiplication and thus will get up off the line faster.
The 700R4/4L60E drawback is autos have more driveline loss and more weight and the 700R4 specifically has a jump in 1st to 2nd ratio that causes a bit of lag in that area.
The manual will have a better mid to top end with its graring and smooth transitions that are more managable throughout the gear shifts. Manual weighs less and has lower driveline losses.

IMO, the 5sp shouldve at least came with 3.23s and optional 3.42s. Driving the 3.08s around these past few years I have learned to understand that the low-end loss doesnt do justice for the lack of upper band RPM strength of the 4.3 for it to be geared like it is. Rather it have a strong off-line and midrange and we can work on improving the upper band with other mods. Are the 5 speeds really that much faster than the automatics with the same motor?

You will just turn higher RPMs in higher gears cruising. But to be honest, if I am going 60-70 on the interstate, I have it in 4th most times and sometimes in 5th. So I estimate from a 3.08 to 3.42 I will still easily cruise 5th comfortably. I think the mods help it up there enough for it to be comfortable to drive like that. But since my main driving is around town and such, I will be much happier with the net results from getting a better launch.

I realized after re-reading this whole thread that I don't think I've even attempted to race anything in my 'noma.

I used to play all the time in my '93 though. it was a reg cab/long box 4.3 auto with a shift kit, dynomax catback, and an open diff. i have no idea what gears it had or if it was a W-vin motor, I didn't know much about s10's back then.

I remember beating a friend's '04 golf 5-speed (no turbo), a 5.0 ford exploder, a 4.9 I6 F150, an early 90's 3.9 dakota, a newer (maybe '03-04?) V6 silverado, and my buddy's geo metro 1.0L 5-spd.... that last one was obviously my crowning victory!

That truck felt much faster than my 'noma (without the s/c), probably because it was old, loud, and the shifts were brutally hard!

My blazer came with 3.42 gears & a 5sp. But it has bigger tires than the 2wd trucks. I can get 35ish from first. 60ish from 2nd. 90 from 3rd. But thats winding them way out.

The older manual transmissions have a 4:1 first gear. pretty damn low.
The newer ones have a 3.5:1 first & a closer 2nd gear.

There is info in the drivetrain section about the automatic gear ratios & the 5sp gear ratios. You will see what I mean.

Ford uses 3.08, thats the gearing in my Cougar. Other than exhaust that car is 100% stock. I have the door codes. Idk about GM rearends...

He put a TB Spacer on it, Cat-delete, O2 Sensor Blanks, Glass Packs, and some minor tuning I guess. I beat him fair and square everytime, he got close one race and we were nose to nose for awhile, but once I shifted to third, his AOD couldnt keep up.

I have been beat by both 4 and 6 cylinder Grand Ams though. both were 99's, those cars have a helluva 3rd gear powerband.

Got myself a Honda last night.
Douche in a 90-ish Civic with a fart can sone side skirts and scafolding on the trunk. We roll off from this light on a 2 lane road. Now this road is only about 300 yards to the next light but is a triple s-curve. Very fun dry and very dangerous wet. You should see the median after it rains from where people spin out. But NE Ways it was dry last night.
So I eld 1st a little longer to see what he was going to do. Because when he took off he squealed the tires a bit (it was so cute...sounded like a mouse). After the slow roll off, he nailed it...and so did I. Before we hit the 1st curve at about 50-60 yards, I was 2 cars up. I swung the 1st curve like a pro and was about 4 cars out. Since I was going to make a left turn at the next light and he wasnt using the left lane anymore (hehehehe), I pulled over in front of him.
Getting onto the highway after the next light, I rolled out and let him get a running start up beside me. Nailed it in 2nd and once again I was gone.
I was laughing sooo hard.
It wasnt something Im particularly proud of since it obviously wasnt a good competitor to race. But he tried me, he got spanked and I won......once again =)

Well I raced an escalade on the highway between Topeka and Manhattan Kansas but I guess it wasnt really a full blown race but at one point we were going like 95 in a 70 and it was kinda off and on like this for a while but he eventually took off and left so that was the end of that but Im sure if we lined it up he woulda whooped me but I thought it was fun and it was defentally something to kill the dull mindedness of highway driving.

Ya know, its best 2 of 3 with them. If you beat him by a mile he would want to go again. Hes hoping youll break. But the problem is his ignorance. My stock GM built 4.3L is way more durable than your hopped up 1.8L. Hes trying to get a HP per Displacement that exceeds the durability of that little motor.
Yes, I can make a rider lawnmower beat a stock Yugo by putting NOS and all sorts of stuff on it. But it isnt going to last very long.

Personally I think anything over 8 cylinders is overkill. You can make just as much power for the same price if not cheaper with a V8.

My '91 4dr destroyed my buddies '96 sunfire. Both stick, other than my 31 inchers. We went from a 15 roll and completely destroyed him. And my '02 Chevy High-top van killed another friends 3.3 Buick Century. My dads '96 Dakota is slow and hasn't beaten anything, although it did get raped by a Cutlass Supreme and a Sedan DeVille, it would help if it mad any torque at all before 3000rpms.

haha. I try to avoid critters with my truck. The camaro was anothe story with small varmits. A family of raccoons was crossing the road and i got them with the bumper did a little reverse action got em all. My cousin has a vintage '79 el camino royal night and we were drinkin one night and a possum ran across the street and he took off threw someones yard in the middle of town and he got it. he was mad the next morning when we figured out what we did that night.

Man its crazy, I get my new custom tuned pcm and cant find a race....
I have been driving my truck around tryin to mess with people...
Just isnt happening.
I wish i could find that guy with the sonoma i beat a while back.
He had the 4.3 in his truck only reason i beat him is cause i got the jump on him. Nither of us could pull or catch up the front of his truck was at the rear wheel of my truck the whole way!
It would be great to find him now and eat that sonoma up!

Well okay im trashed right now so its taking me about a hour to type all of this correctly or semi correctly. I raced tonight a 06 duramax dieasel lost by 1 car length due to a miss shift and he stated he heard the miss shift and i would have beat him if i wouldnt have miss shifted. then i raced a complety stock 01 s10 automatic beat him by 1.5 car lengths and he raced the duramax and lost by .5 car lengths or a half either way. so ha...im drunk write now so sorryh for the typing error red bull and vodka but ya true story no lie

hah sorrry about that post last night I dont really remember much. The duramax was a dually btw. I lost due to a miss shift in 3rd only thing i dont like about the tranny. And right at the end I was pulling hard on him. The other s10 I raced i lost the first race due to a miss shift. I lost by .5lengths the first round but when i miss shifted i was down 3car lengths and pulled back 2.5car lengths on him. The second time i hit 3rd gear and it was over with lol. Got a couple girls numbers out of the deal too :)

in my 2004 blazer xtreme with just my programmer i ended up (idiocally) racing an ex-friends 95-96 mustang 6 cyl. it had headers hollowed cats and magnaflow exhaust cold air intake around the highway for those of you familiar with ohio insterstate 270 near west broad (REAL STUPID) but anyways long story short her car registered to over 110 and my programmer removed my speed limit she hit 110 and i was walkin away and by the time we hit 110 i was already 3 lenghts ahead of her...we started from a roll at 65.

So i was out driving around and low and behold there was a 2001 zq8 4.3 truck at a car lot.
So i stopped in and gave the bs about a buddie looking for a truck like mine cause he liked it so much.
So i went for a test drive...Wasnt very impressed with it poor thing was rode hard and put away wett. Had probs with the brakes, leaky heater core(had that sweet smell in the air not from my fart either!) LOL
There was some slight body damage and a few various things plus it had 140 k miles they wanted 5995 for it... A lil pricey but all in all a decent truck. It def doesnt have the pick up my truck has i def noticed the difference.

Yea i am def thinkin about gettin one of the set ups when you get it done!
I will terrorize the area! but then again relax its only a v6!
Well we can give it a run soon When we go to put my zex in.
I will of probably done my brakes before that I dont want to wait that long to do the brakes. I am gonna get new rotors and ceramic pads.
I priced things out and its gonna cost about 170 for everything including turning of the rotors.
Then i need to buy bearings for the zex, shims, marking grease, and gear oil.
I found a set of the 5 spoke zq8 wheels for sale for 475 with good tires on them!
I just dont have the cash to get them right now!!!!!!!!!!!!
DAMN!!!!!!
Seems like good deals always come up when you dont have the cash for them.............

My only excuse is the big 80 lb 20s that I had on my truck.

well last week after work I was heading home and pulled up to a stop light. There sat this little Geo car not sure what it was but two wigger looking kids in it keep inching forwards and they kept lookin at me blah blha etcc etc...well the light turned green and i came off slowly in 1st not lookin for a race and they gunned it and flew past at a blazing 15mph woot!

well they slowed back down and stood on it again....this time i stood on it in 1st went sideways bounced off the rev limiter hit 2nd bounced the rev again and then coasted up the road....they did their ricer highspeed fly by and the passenger flipped me off...talk about rude lol

I took a late 90's v8 ram today coming off the freeway on the round about he was riding this guys ass so i crept up put it in second and held it the other guy that was being tailgated went ont way leaving us to finish the round about. So i punch it and so does he i can tell cause of his loud dual exhaust. I let off a lil cause i am not sure if hes gonna go in my lane and dont want to wreck my truck. So i say f it and punch it and go right past him with his passanger hitting him lol! pretty funny.
I got a full car lenth ahead of him before i let off then got the typical fly by!

So yesterday, we went to the US19 Dragway in Albany, Ga. I took my truck but didnt run it. We had a few freinds with trailered rides running. And a few of us were helping out with that. Plus I thought it was only for a certain criteria to run, but it ended up being an open test n tune session. Ill run next time. Its an 1/8 mile track.
Anyways, on the way home, there was a Xtreme Blazer that had been there too come up behind me. It was Space Blue and there was no grille/valence/bumper. Just headlamps and dangleing park lamp bulbs/wires. It had seen better days.
So, for a while we were just convoying it back toward Tallahassee. Then after a few miles he pulled up beside me and seemed to want to play. After a few 'pulls' , we hit it. We were from about a 65-70MPH rolling start. I was actually able to pull it down in 3rd for a few seconds at that speed. Keeping in mind we didnt get any good starts, it was close to being even from the roll out. After I hit 4th tho I was pulling away. I also pegged 100 in 4th and pullled for a while after that. I wish I had the RealTimeData plugged in so I could know what I was doing. My guess was 115-120MPH. I have it set up to 130MPH.
Does a 2dr Blazer with 4.3/A4 have 3.42s? Im thinking maybe he did.
Not much of a race, but it gets your heart pumping at those speeds. It was fun =)

Took the dime out of the garage today to go visit my project in Junction City. It's about an hour drive one way on the interstate for those who don't know. Since I got the Rusty Ranger, the S-10 sits an awful lot. Thought I'd get some time behind the wheel of it today.

I am happy to report that there is a depressed military man, with a new Mustang, that is very very confused and is wondering what is wrong with his car, cuz he saw nuthin but S-10 ass after the light turned green.

That'll teach'em to rev his engine at me. I was stopped at a light, and he pulled up with his beats all thumpin'. While he was sittin there I noticed he was eyeballin the truck, and then I heard it....ruuuuum.....ruuuuuum. Revving engine says I? Oh noes! :eek:
Ok, if you insist. Light turned green, he spun a bit, I launched fairly well and had a half a car length by the time my truck hit second gear chirp. That really seemed to get his attention. After that my truck just kept pulling on him.
When he pulled up next to me at the next intersection with a stop sign he just shook his head and turned off.

Silly Ford person.
Man, I can't wait to turn the boost up with the parts I have sitting in the back room!

On a side note, the Ranger has taken down a 2.2 S-10, a four banger Colorado driven by some wild Asians, and one small child with a big wheel on a sugar high.

A week or two ago I was taking my dad to pick his car from a stereo shop and we were next to a Mini Cooper S, I wanted to see how fast they were so I would kind of jump at the green lights, after a couple blocks the light turned green I started going and seen him step on it so I did too and got to about his rear bumper with my front bumper and I could see him shifting hard and he couldnt pull away from me, went to to about 70-75 then I let off cuz my dad was in the car :D.
Then a couple days ago me and my friend were just driving around and ended up at a red light next to a mazda3 stick shift with a guy and his girlfriend, I could see him dancing and acting stupid in his car next to me. When the light turned green I was thinking anything then I see his car start to take off so I floored it and pretty quickly caught him, passed him, till I had to hit the brakes cuz there was a car in my lane.

I've done a similar thing in the past. Had someone all wound up to race at the stoplight, light turns green I take off all normal like while the monkeynut next to me goes tearin ass across the intersection before realizing the nose of the cop car sitting half a block down.
Classic stuff.

I have a friend with the supercharged version of the mini cooper S and I'm not sure I could take down that car. It's quick, the 0-60 is something like 6.5 secs and they do the 1/4 in the mid/low 14's. I also work with a guy who just bought a mazda speed 3 - that's a serious car for an import!

I'm trying to convince them both to come out to the street-legal drags this summer. I seriously doubt I'd have a chance at the mazda but it would break his heart if I did manage to beat him :D
