OK I have done a full days worth of reading threads on the EGR mod and really came up with nothing more than the info I already know.

So here's what's going on....I have a '99 chevy blazer and a 2000chevy blazer. The '99 has had an egr code for some time now, I replaced it with a spare one that I had and it still has the code! I tryed the SeaFoam and got no smoke at all! So I'm going to look further into it and see if I can find out whats going on! It's is also throwing a code for the injectors being lean! So I think that I have a major cabon issue going on. So I thought that the EGR mod would help reduce the carbon in the intake.

What I'm looking for is a DETAILED write up or info on this mod. All I can find is how people have done it and/or why/why not to do it. I was unable to find out exactly what I need to do to perform this mod to my trucks.

I also did all the same research on the tps mod and also didn't find any detailed info on it. This mod sounds like it would help out both my blazers alot because they are both auto's and more throttle response would be nice! So any info on this mod would also be very helpful!

For the egr mod, just go to the auto parts store and ask for a couple egr gaskets for your vehicle. Trace the gaskets onto a piece of sheet metal. Drill the middle holes smaller, and bolt the sheet metal you made between the 2 gaskets you bought. If it throws a code drill the hole bigger. Don't try too hard to feel a difference though. Deffinately won't help 1/4 mile times or anything either.

For the lean code, i had one also. For me my maf was under reporting the air going into the motor. If unpluging the maf helps, then the maf is bad, or dirty. If you run a k&n the oil tends to get on the maf sensor. I also had a weak/dying fuel pump, and that wasn't helping things. Also check for intake tract leaks, and vac leaks.

The tps mod, there are a few ways to go about it. You can buy a tps intercepter that tricks the computer into going into pe quicker. Look for caspers electronics for that. Or you can slot the tps bolt holes. If my logic is correct you would slot the holes to turn it clockwise.

Ok I rescanned the truck today and only got this....
P401 Exhaust Gas Reciruculation Flow Insufficient Deceted

I then cleared the code and ran it for a little while and the code didn't return so I'll keep an eye on it for the next week and see what happens! I'm going to go over the whole truck with in the next couple of weeks and do the TPS and EGR mod just so I know there done. But before I do that I'm going to put the SeaFoam thru it again just to be on the safe side!

Any other further thoughts, comments, ideas are always welcome!
