its it possible to push the clutch fan closer to the radiator with some sort of spacer? I wanna move it to with 1- 1.5ins from the radiator, as of now, its about 4 inches. and help would be apprecieted, cuz I wanna get the upper radiator hose goin out the front of the engine, not going around the intake like it does now and it wont fit safely with the fan where it is. Thank you
and one more thing, the water neck of a 4.3l astro van will work for the this right?
Yes, the astro van water neck will work for what you are trying to do.
As for a spacer, i don't know that it is possible. If you could do it you would have to do it on the fan connection, and not the waterpump to clutch connection. I am looking for a picture of a stock fan, if you have one you could post it may help.

i dont have any pictures right now, but I just thought of something very important, the truck has 64000miles on it, so i think that putting the fan farther from the water pump might speed up the process of killing the water pump bearings. i might just go with a good Efan which would, as i understand it, would take stress of the water pump.
I found some pictures, it is not possible to move the fan forward without welding, or some sort of custom fabrication.
Annother option would be to go to the older style water pump, and fan that had the 4 bolts to hold it on. Like '92-'89 or so. Have to make sure it is a reverse roation pump though. An electric fan is going to be cheeper than this though most likely.

well, i went pricing fans and decided to spend money on something more useful, a new fancy Y pipe. for the sound and hopefully some performance, not really counting on that though, but my 4dr should sound mean as hell when its on
and Rat, i do thank you for your assistance
You can get the turaus fan for cheep, i think i have about $70 in my setup. It isn't a "bolt-on" though, so that tends to turn people away.
I have a 2.25" y-pipe, it sounds a lot better with the leaks it fixed.
get rid of the clutch fan and just put in an efan
