Yes, you can extend the wires. Solder your connections and seal 'em up with heat shrink.

you can also skip the rear 02 sensor all together by using an 02 simulator. I got mine from summit racing when i changed my exhaust and moved my cat. no computer codes at all.
not real expensive, mine's been installed for 3 years with no problems

so how much did u pay for the sim?
i was lookin on the summit site and found them for $44.88
how are they, what do they do? is it worth it?

Hey Finkle,
At the time I paid around $30.00 for the unit.
It sends a signal to the computer showing the o2 sensor is in place and doing what the o2 sensor should be sending to the computer. This eliminates the constant SES light you get if you by-pass the rear sensor. Remember the SIM is only for the rear o2 sensor. It is worth it if you have to install a new 02 sensor bung in a system that doesn't have one or new exhaust routing prevents the 02 harness from reaching.
I have had mine in for years with no problems. My front o2 sensor is going, but I just need to change it to clear the SES problem. Computer codes only show the front o2 sensor bad, rear code is OK, the sensor is still doing its job.
I hope this helped. dagwood

There's a discussion on this forum about simulators. Guy provided a link for $30 simulators.
