Just got this email and before you leave for the nite, he is trying to sign up to post this to you, a guy from Planet..

My brother has a 98 s blazer 4x4. He was told the modulator was bad on it, and that it needs replaced and that he is leaking tranny fluid. What does this entail, and does the tranny have to be removed, or is it just a part that you can unbolt and bolt a replacement right on?? Thanks in advance for the info.

are you talking about the 4x4 actuator?

This does not make sense. There are no modulators, just solenoids and accumulators, which are all internal. I wonder if he is talking about the servo, it could leak externally.

I think he was fed something that has a particular smell.

I left him a message to take a look here. Thats all I got via email. Told him I never owned and Auto and wouldnt have a clue and to talk to you!! Will see if he sees this!
