The stock suspension in my 2000 S-10 Extended cab 2wd is far from being sports car tight, and if I remember correctly, one member compared the ride to an old Caddy, and I tend to agree with him. I wanted to upgrade the suspension without breaking the bank. I settled on simply adding a rear sway bar to the truck.
Summit had a Hellwig model 7619 sway bar for $159.69, so I ordered this unit.

Installation was straight forward with no drilling or welding. The end links mounted to the frame with special brackets attached to U bolts that went over the frame.

The bar attached to the axle with U bolts and special brackets. All bushings were Polyurethane which I lubed with Silicone suspension grease.

Everything came with the kit and was installed in about 3 hours which included a lunch and Bud Light break.
All I can say is what a difference! This sucker is so much tighter in turns and over railroad tracks. No more floating over bumps, no more leaning in turns. This definitely gave me the most bang for the buck.
Well worth the money. Believe me, if you have a stock 2wd'er, this is the joint.
