Programed the 2000LT today. Went with the 93 oct., firm shift, Speed limit to 110mph. Not sure I understand the principle behind the Dual Fuel (http://www.blazerforum.com/m_18968/tm.htm#) Power Tuning deal though. Since I set it up for the 93 oct., am I not suppose to use the 93 now? (Although I can only get 91) I watch the little dumb ass video that they have on the website but I have to admit I am confused by it. Sounds like they are telling me on there that there is no reason at all for me to even think of using the higher octane setting for the Blazer. I have an email into them, but I would like to get as much feedback from you guys as I can and maybe even what your settings are and why. The 2000 is stock except for the K&N drop in. I have a Flowmaster to put on it but have not yet. Haven't even finished the damn tune up yet. Every time I look at those friggen plugs I say I'll do it tomorrow.
I had this posted on another board that I visit and nobody replied. I am hoping that someone here will at least answer the post. So any feedback on the Hypertech (http://www.blazerforum.com/m_18968/tm.htm#) and especially with the dooel foolel will be great....
later... and thanks..

The 93 octane setting will increase power the most providing it doesn't sense a bunch of knock and retard it right back.

Try it and see. You'll hear the spark knock if it occurs. The 91 has enough alcohol content (alcohol is VERY knock resistant) the 93 setting should do fine.

I've got a 2000 4.3L and I tuned mine with the Hypertech power programmer. I set it on 93 octane, firmer shifts, governer set to 112 mph. I run 93 octane fuel all the time now with no trouble. I see the most noticeable power with 93 octane than 87. My other mods are K&N fipk intake, flowmaster exhaust, Accel plugs and 8mm wires.

As far as the "duel fuel" that just means you can tune your engine to get the most power weather you use 93 or 87 octane.

Cause no one in that forum who has one has anything good to say about it.

I run a heavily modified version of the hypertech high octane setting(read i run more timing than the hypertech tune). And i have regular in the tank right now no pinging that i can tell looking at my data logs. I would try to run midgrade though.
