View Full Version : Gotta change my blinker fluid
Thought you guys might get a kick out of this. I was looking through my "Automotive Electrics and Electronics" text book (if you dont know me, im in a 4 year automotive technology program at pittsburg state university) and there was absolutely nothing on ignition, primary or secondary!!! I guess it is common knowledge that the ignition system isnt electric!!, had me fooled!!! Jeez, what a bunch of morons, and it is a new book!!! Well back to changing my blinker fluid, and does anyone know if NAPA carries ignition fluid? CUZ APPARENTLY NOT ELECTRIC!!!!!!

That is odd considering the plethora of ignition systems out there today.

o0o0o Sparky got a Dictionary...LOL! You would think that a mag like that would at least check thier sources before putting out a statment or even insinuating ( like that one) that they are not electric, see what happens when you let 13 year olds have thier own articles.

Make sure you change the muffler bearing too!!
ha ha, actually it wasnt a magazine, it is my textbook!! It wasnt stating that it wasnt electrical, but it just totally overlooked the ignition

Ok I am not understanding this, you text book is saying the ign. system isn't electric?
And what the hell do you mean blinker fluid?
LMAO
Please elaborate.
ok here you go
My textbook just doesnt mention it. It isnt in there. The class covers the ignition system, quite extensively, but the book totall omits it. The previous version of the book BY THE SAME PEOPLE has 2 chapters dedicated to ignition.
As for the blinker fluid, it is an old joke. There is no such thing.
Jake, thanks for the headsup on the muffler bearing, it is about time to repack it. Every 6 months or so, gotta re pack the damn muffler bearing or it starts to squeak

I hated school. I didn't go for automotive classes, I'm a computer nerd, but they still leave stuff out. I hate learning by books, I learn best BY DOING! No book I have ever read really prepares you for what you need to know. They tell you what you should know. In the real world those are two different things apparently.
By the way, where is the Pittsburgh State University? I'm from nearby the burgh and just haven't heard of it. Unless you mean Pitt? I went to PSU Beaver, BTW.
It is actually in southeastern ks, not pa!! In southeast ks, bout 10 min from the missouri border is a little hole of a town pittsburg
