 I have a problem. I was replaceing the knock sensor on my truck yesterday. I was screwing the old one off and then coolant started coming out from behind it.Is that suppose to happen? I had to put a whole gallon back in the radiator to fill it back up. What could be wrong? The whole problem started with a missfire. I did a tune up on it new plugs and wires. It ran strong for a week then it started it again. Help!
Some of them do go into the water jacket (or whatever its called).
What year truck/engine , etc?

It was setting one code and that was the knock sensor that is why I replaced it. Two weeks ago it had a missfire on cylinder one but I did a tune up (new plugs and wires) on it.It ran great for a week then the problem came back.

did you check your cap and rotor? Also check all the wires invloving the knock sensor, just becasuse you have a code does not mean it is the sensor itself it could be a wire going to it
