tire help

I need to buy some tires but i dono what size to get.. i currently have 205/75-15 but i want lower tires if i can.. i went to walmart and asked what prices they have and thay told me you can only put the original size tire on the vehicle... i wanted 205/(60 or 65)-15 but he tole me i can only go with 75.. what's the truth? can i go with and hight size? any help will help

You could easily go with a 235/60. At that size, your choice of tires will greatly increase.

firestone doesn't have a tire that's 235/60-15 they only have 16, and 18

I recommend any place BUT Walmart for tires. Lower profile tires won't fill the wheel well the same as the stock tires. To counteract that, most people go to a larger wheel at the same time to keep the diameter of the wheel/tire combination about the same. They don't have to be high-dollar custom wheels, some stock-type wheels 1 inch larger in diameter would work just fine. Do you have that option right now?

i'm looking in the auto trader at parts and i found some 16's for sale for 240$ i'm going to check tomorrow to see if their any good for me.. if so then i found some tires for 40$each as well.. should work out pretty good. i just need to remember that my speedo is going to be off a bit

okay i work in the tle in a walmart just tell them you will sign a waver and that should make them happy...i do this for people all the time as we all know that some times stock isnt the coolest thing to happen to are trucks....i also have 1st gen with 235/60r15s on it stock and a buddy has a 2nd gen with a 3''-4'' and has the same size on his stock wheels so they will fit
