My rearend is dropped 2 inches to make the truck level using blocks. My rear suspension is stiff, but my buddy came up with an idea.

Use shackles to bring it back up to stock heigth :devil_125

He said "dude, can you even imagine how stiff the ass end of your truck will be!". So am I crazy? Are my leafs going to assplode due to the insane pressure? Will this extreme stiffness cause drivability problems?

Lowering or raising via blocks or shackles doesn't change spring rates. Now, raising one end higher than the other transfers weight, but you're really not addressing that either.

I'm curious as to why not just take the blocks out to raise it back up? Or am I missing something?

Yeah, shackles aren't going to make springs stiffer, but they may cause pinion load problems... We had crappy sport suspension (less leaves) spring on the Blazer Sport and when we put on the Superlift shackles, it caused pinion load problems... basically and audible whine when you let off the gas and decreased power... the shackles and poor springs put the pinion/u-joint/driveshaft in a bind.
