Last week, I noticed my knock sensor is completly different then any knock sensor on any TBI engine. My knock sensor has an oval type of connectoer while a new sensor has an round connector. Also I my sensor is long and skinny like a spark plug and a new sensor looks completly different. I tryes searching other years and other models but they all take the same knock sensor? Did GM for some reason use a diferent knock sensor on my motor and where can i find one of these odd ball sensors? I haven't tryed using the new sensor because my wiring harness will not plug into it.
You have 2 different knock sensors in your truck. The one with the fat thread should be on your driver' side block, the one that uses a skinny thread is in back of the passenger side head.

The only sensor I know I can see is a coolant temp sensor mountd on the passanger side head in between the spark plugs. Where are knock senor(s)?

If you look it's below and between plugs 3 and 5 and the other one is on back of the passenger side head against the firewall. (on later motors they moved it from there to the passenger side block)
