I have been running one for a couple of years now. It beats the stock system all to heck, but I don't know how it compares to other aftermarket systems. You might be able to by the airbox from a wrecking yard. What part of the airbox are you looking for measurements? The bottom half of the stock box or the upper half supplied with the intake kit?

no i have the stock bottom part....i want to make my own upper part like in the kit & then make a bottom part to match it.....id rather make it then buy you know what i mean.
