actually a 2.2 can have balls....i done the cheaper route on my performance and got a big buck result.....not exactlt sure about actual hp but if you add the numbers up its somewhere around 190 and i can beat a v8 2000's model silverado toyota v6 p/u 4.3 blazer and even a v8 crown vic early 90's model i can actually beat alot more than you would think....almost every race i have been in has been in a city and some people are scared to go too fast my last race was the v6 yota and from redlight to redlight i hit 85....not too bad for a lil pushrod tutu.....i have even beat a eclipse auto and a zq8 5 speed but there is alot that will kill a 2.2

I'm sure a 2.2 can be made to run, but the expenditures needed to make that a reality don't make it a practical venture.

i was on my way home today and a buddy of mine wanted to race so we did and.....i beat a mustang (4 banger, extremely sick, pure junk) but a win is a win o well

My 96 2.2 killed a GT mustang...of course the it was a downhill race and the mustang didn't have an engine. But, I still beat it. Then the neigbors soap box racer passed us both. :p
