tach install

i looked in the how-to's and i might have missed it, but i got an aftermarket tach for my 95 s10 and i got instructions but they are pretty generic, is there any vehicle specific diagrams that i could look at?

I did mine off the coil wire, works like a charm, I think I attached the tach lead to the white coil wire. Id go check but there is a foot of snow on the hood.
