i would like a little feed back about your experience with your e-fan and is it worth the money ? i realize that it puts a bigger load on the alternator but i believe the performance makes up for that. i have read the gains are up to 17 rwhp on the s-10's . any opinions are appreciated.
I like my fan, but i doubt it gains that much.

Well worth the install. Most people gain a tenth or so.

it is definatly worth it, if you drive from biloxi, ms to L.A., CA and only have to fill up 3 times, you'll say its worth it

one more question ... are you happy with the thermostat and how it engages . i have seen a probe that goes against the rad and it doesn't appear that accurate. but i think i will get the sensor that goes in the coolant , i see a plug in the thermostat housing and it seems pretty simple. how did you guys do yours ? ( 30103 painless # is the kit i am looking at )
thanks

The sensor is definitely the way to go. Get one that closes at 195 and run a 180 t-stat or one that closes at 210 if you run a 195 t-stat. That way, when it doesn't need the fan, it's not running. Be sure and wire the a/c so the fan turns on with the A/C engaged.

I just hooked mine up through the ACC wire in the ignition, so when the truck turned on, so did the fan

I run a thermal switch that has a probe in the radiator and it works great. And my Taurus fan keeps my engine as cool as I want it to be.I also have it set up on a toggle so I have control over in case the switch fails and when I turn the AC on.I just flip the switch on when im running AC and off when I am not and let the switch control it the rest of the time.It works great and never runs warmer than what I have it set at.
