Quad 4 throttle body's

O.K. guys. On some of the advice I've read on here I went today and got three quad 4 throttle body's from my buddy that runs a salvage yard. (GOD BLESS FREEBIES!!!!!!!) I got one from a 92 acheiva, one from a 92 grand am, and one from a 95 grand am. My question for you guys is that the two 92's have a coolant line running through the bottom of them and the 95 does not. Why? and should i put one of the ones with the coolant lines on and rig up coolant flow through it on my truck. What would this do for me? Also once i'm done installing one on my truck I'm gonna have one that I'd be willing to give to someone on this site for the cost of ship to you.

Use the one with out.LS1 engines have a collant line that passes through the throttle body.Most guys use a bypass mod to get rid of it.It's suppose to help war,m the intake charge for emmissions and on cold mornings.Check this link out to see what I am talking about.LSI TB (http://www.ls1howto.com/index.php?article=13)

Dont worry about the Coolant passage, you can use either. LIke Max said, its there for emissions purposes, it would hurt power more than help it if you had water pumping through it.
