okay so last night was my senior prom, we went to dinner and me and my date came back to my house, i had to take the ZQ8 out for a spin before prom. so i took it to the top of my road, did a little more than a 1/8th mile run and was rollin about 140 and hit the brakes to start to slow down, but it didnt. i went to make the sharp ass turn at the end of my road at about 70, downshifted into low gear hammered on the brakes and it was sideways with the tires roasting. turns out the throttle linkage broke and carb number 2 was stuch at about half throttle. i was able to slam neutral and cut it off before any damage was done, but i sure as hell wouldnt be here if it wasnt for them 4 piston rear brakes. my date was a little shooken up, so was i. dad came running down the driveway and made sure we were okay and told me "good save".
nice drivin bo duke, glad you didnt wreck the truck and i suppose glad you didnt get hurt :)

thans guys, we still have a few bugs to work out in the truck. i showed my brother the skid marks and had to explain how the truck was sideways, like playing need for speed underground. needless to say my prom date dosent wanna ride in the truck anymore lol.

I had the throttle srick on my oldsmobile twice before...it was scary cause it happened on a redlight, luckily I made a right into an empty parking lot popped the e brake and put it neutral, I got out and the spring that controled the throttle body was stuck

I had that happen to me on a 90 something Izuzu the plastic got hot or something and melted right on to the cable and when i left the driveway i was squealing tires (it was a manuel) cause it got stuck and i had to shift or maybe blow the motor and when i got it turned around and coasted back into the driveway i popped the hood and me and my cousin had to scrape all that crap off of it so it would work smoothly again.

I had a similar thing happen Saturday. My wife and I were on our way home, and it started raining. We were sitting at the light to get off the interstate, and when it turned green I went. This particular intersection is a high traffic area, so the pavement is quite smooth. I wasn't gittin on it, but when the truck shifted, the rears broke loose and we got sideways. No big deal, except she was half asleep(11:30 p.m.) She woke up and grabbed something for security, it was my arm that was on the console. This is what it looks like 2 days later

It bled for the 6 blocks home and still hurts a little. Didn't mean to hijack your thread KODIACK, but this was just to funny no to share.

damn man, luckly the girl in my truck had her hands on both the oh **** and oh f*** bars so i didnt have to worry about that. joker, i bought a new camera so i can get my compilation video started, i started my new job last week and between graduation and that i havent had much time to be on here let alone sleep, but ill let yall know how it all goes. they have a event down here where they shut down the tree and run stoplights, thought it would be something different to start out with.
