Well if any of you ppl watch hockey, you know the Edmonton Oilers won Saturday night.
So after I watched the game at a local pub I headed down to Whyte Ave, the bar strip in Edmonton. To go join the celerbrating of course. Well of course its crazy everybody cheering, honking horns, and a couple of brake stands by myself. Well i as i get closer to the center of the ave, the police have it blocked off. So i park and continue on foot with a couple of buddies.
More cheering and chanting, high fives, ppl climbing up light poles.
Now at the center of the Ave. I see a couple of fires. Alright starting to get a little out of hand some of these idiots. I look at the fire to see what was burning, a telephone booth and some pallets. :confused:
Well now i am offended, how could ppl be so stupid. IMO its alright to have fun and party hard, but why wreck your City over a playoff win. If you want to wreck something, let it be your personal things. Not someone elses or public property. And besides you end up paying for it in tax dollars anyhow.
Well i soon went to a bar my buddy works at and got away from the stupidity. The roit squad was out, along with the normal police and firefighters. Don't know what came out of the rest of the night with the fires. I hope some ppl got fined and spent the night or a few in the slammer.
