i need one for my truck. i have the old style valve covers to clear the pro-mag rockers and i cannot find a cork stlye gasket. i while ago i made the mistake of buying the molded silicon. BIG MISTAKE. obviosly the dude that designed that never tried putting one on. they made it too damn small and you had to stretch it to fit. well rubber is VERY elastic and i couldn't get it to stay streched while i put the cover on so i had to cut the gasket in 4 places and piece it together on the head with gasket sealer. well now it is leaking again which is what i thought would happen so here i am. if anyone knows where i can get a cork one i would greatly appreciate it. thanks

i have valve cover spacers you can use with your OE stuff.
I used vise grips, and rtv to glue the older style covers to the rubber gaskets, but i agree it is a big pain.
The rubber is a big pain, granted, but it lasts longer and resists leaks sooooooo much better.
Try this, take your valve cover and gasket, use rtv sealant, or a thin coat of Mr. Gasket "Right Stuff" to glue it to the valve cover. When its dry, then just install, but remember when you are gluing it down, put a bolt or something through the valve cover hold downs (not centerbold right?) so you dont have a problem when you do it.

no they are center bolt style. i tried doing that same thing. let it dry over night and when i took the clamps off the gasket pulled right off of the cover.
