Trans question

I have a 350 w/ a turbo 350 trans and i believe iv got my hands on a 700r4 to swap it with. My question is i also have a buddy who has a "big block " pontiac 400 that he needs a tranny for. Will the turbo 350 work for him in that application? Id love t be able to make a deal with him to absorb some of the cost of the 700r4.

Nope. When it comes to tranny bolt patterns, Chevy stands alone. Buick, Olds, Pontiac, Cadillac all have the same pattern.

Now, the trans will physically mate, and the bottom 2 holes will bolt up. So, they make an adapter.
