Hi, I've read a number of post about ignition probs. The answers have been wiring, solenoid or starter. Is there some reason no mentions replacing the coil? The parts warehouse for my 2000 shows no entry for solenoid, and two types of ignition coils. I'll admit to not yet buying a repair manual for my used (60,000mi.) truck. I'm only guessing at this point that the part i'm unbolting is a starter. That's because if it's not simple I won't spend days trying to figure out how to do the job without the right equipment. But I know the coils 1/3 the cost of the starter. Thanks and happy drivin.
