Will I be able to use the computer in my CPI Vortec to run a TBI or TPI V8 and still shift my 4L60E correctly? I can get a TBI 350 from a 90's model 4x4 for next to nothing (it runs strong). Did GM make a CPI V8?

No CPI V8 was ever produced. The CPI driver is strong enough to handle both injectors but the open time will be all wrong (measured in MS). Might be able to get a custom chip though I doubt it.

PM rat and see what he says.

yes you can, the CPI ECM was also used in trucks that had TBI. you are going to have to repin some of the connectors and burn a custom chip. you can run TBI or TPI which ever you choose. Both are availble in speed density and becasue TPI is batch fire it is very simlar to TBI, what year CPI do you have? Becasuse there is a difference in which mask is used, for 93 the E6 is used and then 0D is used for 94 and 95. This is actualy one of my upcoming projects is putting a 4l60e in a 74 k-5 with TPI
