What do you guys consider to be the best brand of brake pads on the market?

I've tried the super fancy Autozone brand (stupid, I know) and these pads are producing all kinds of dust, which is one thing they told me they wouldn't do. http://bestsmileys.com/clueless/4.gif

Any suggestions for a good brand that doesn't make all this disc brake dust would be appreciated.

I'm using ACDelco Durastop Ceramic pads to keep the dust down.

I'm using ACDelco Durastop Ceramic pads to keep the dust down.Any idea where these can be purchased online so I wouldn't have to go get hosed by the local GM dealer?

I'm not sure about online, but you can get those at your local O'Reilly Auto Parts and probably AutoZone (or most other part stores, for that matter).

ceramic are great pads but you can also use a carbon fiber pad (ceramic and carbon fiber blended) that works great as well low dust, long wear, and they'll stand you on your head if needed ! I know you can order them from stylin concepts and I think Summit racing, They cost around $50.. I think

I typically use the carbon fiber pads that you can buy from Advanced.

I ended up getting the AC/Delco pads and they're working great.

I also bought a 4 1/2inch grinder and knocked of some of the glaze that was on my rotors. They weren't warped, so there was no need to turn 'em.

Now, my brakes are nice and quiet again

I use Bendix pads and shoes from Advance. They have always worked really well on my S10.Low dust and great stopping. And they don't eat up rotors like candy.
