Drifting Stories ?

Anyone have any nice/fun drift stories w/ your trucks? We do some dumb **** in Minnesota, anyone else out there?

I do donuts all the time in the snow. Or at least tried in my '93 (damn peg leg, rear). Got my '01 this winter & was dying to try firgure 8s (has gov-loc), lol.... of corse it hasnt snowed much since.

dont like ruining my tires too much on bare asphalt

o ya... its lots of fun in the winter... thats the coolest part of the snow!!! usually when it rains i do a little slidin too, but its kinda hard on the dry pavement, eventho i can scratch em in second gear =]!!

i always like it in the snow when the back end thinks it needs to slide faster than the front end and you end up completly sideways in the middle of the road.
when i got my posi in last winter i had to learn that...

Coming home from the track in the Blazer with the slicks on. Got into some rain and drifted around for about 100 yards 'til I was in the other lane looking back the direction I was coming from.

My son didn't find it very enjoyable though.

i can wait. if you have any kind of performance tires then you know that in the snow you cant Start, Stop, or Steer. i hate getting stopped at a stop light on a hill cause i just have to let everyone behind me go so i can back up and get a running start.

my auto trans truck has a shift kit and very large servos in it. on dry pavement, going around a corner when i slam it into second manually i can get sideways very readily...

ya i dont have any high performance tires yet.. i will on my 20's but im gunna take them off for the winter...

Well this one time at Ruby Tuesdays (a restaurant), it was kinda wet and I kinda gave it a little too much and i jus slid out of the parking lot. It was lots of fun.
