Chicago is this weekend, NY next weekend, DC the following weekend (and the last event).

Looks like fun, I signed up for the DC event, with the wife also!

Don't know if anyone else checked out this event, but after returning from this over the weekend, I have to say it was more than worth the $45 entry fee I paid. The racing was so-so (ok the racing was great, I just sucked :rolleyes: ), but the fact they had corvettes EVERY WHERE for you to DRIVE rocked!

I got to take a corvette through a slalum course 4 times, and out on a road course twice. They just opened up the door and said have fun. The tracks weren't big enough to get it much out of first gear, but that was enough to get a good feel of what those 400 hourses were capable of. Oh, and the brakes were good to. I accidentely fished tailed the first one I drove in a corner with a little bit to much gas at the apex, but it was very easy to recover from.

I even took a AWD TrailBlazer SS out for a spin (you know the one, the one with the LS2 for a heart), not to bad, but felt like it only pulled a little harder than my Blazer (with my SuperCharger). Of course, maybe it was because I was getting used to driving the vette's.

Needless to say I had a blast, and hope Chevy sponsors it again next year, just wish they had kept the Z06 for this last stop of the show (they had them at the ealier stops, but not DC).
