You can get it from several other places though.

ok thanks guys, i just went onto ebay and bought one :) ok now i know this isnt the place to post it, but i have major headlight problems i live in sunny south fla and oxidized headlights are a problem, ok what i'm trying to get at here is that they are dim i mean really bad and i've tried both silverstars and the cheapo hyperwhites still nothing, i've got 4 sets of driving lights on the front of my truck, seeming has i wear glasses and my night vision sucks so that's my reasoning behind having so many lights anyways no ones responded to my post on the "headlights" forum so guys please help me :) oh yeah i forgot to add they are the optional composites on a 97 noma thanks

use some blue corel or turtel wax rubbing compound and a wet rag and scrub them really good. It should tke the oxydation off.

if not go to www.lmctruck.com (http://www.lmctruck.com) and get some new ones.

There is a reason I put up the tci servos.#1: I don't buy used parts or shop on ebay. In my personale exsperince it's cheaper just to buy a new part for the manufacther or autoorised dealer.
#2 i use tci parts and love em. I have never had a problem with anything I've ever bought from them. These are an upgrade to vette servos I thinck it has 50% more surface area that the GM vette servos.I had vette servos, but still had too much lag on up shifts for my likeing. I know have the jumbo servo kit in mine and have no lag between gears when upshifting. It really makes a differnce.

how long would it take to install? and how much $ i know thats the grand question almost always is LOL see i'm not much for buying used parts either but oh well i'm just gonna try this one aand if i dont like it it's only like 20 bucks no biggie, oh and i know this isnt the place to post this, but my fuel pump is making a hell of alot of noise i think it's abo0ut ready to go i dunno what do you think some advice would be nice thanks guys

lmc doesnt have my year they only go up to 93 i figured seeming has i've been on lmc before and they didnt have anything LOL so it looks like i'm gonna resort to ebay if i have to to buy some new lenses

bvr775
02-03-05, 08:35 PM
you need the new lmc catalog. yeas they do carry your lights PN#29-8442 lh and PN#29-8443 rh

if you have a composite frontend it going to be PN#29-8446 lh and PN#29-8447 rh

the composite or 149.95 ea so just use polising compond (not rubbing compound) on your old ones.

check your idler, tie rods, and tire balance

mattownsa97withmafproblem
02-06-05, 09:23 PM
my idler is ok we replaced it a while ago, i mean i really dont think that the idler could go bad that fast can it? LOL hey bvr try to get ahold of me on aol if you have instant messenger my s/n is rav420024drlimtd so we can converse if possible, have alot of curious questions regarding my truck, i'm also in constant contact with john aka obi :) so anyways i dont know where to start, IM me if ya can and if ya get a chance thanks, i'll be back here anyways to check if you posted again thanks for all you're help oh, how can you tell if the tie rod's went bad?

bvr775
02-06-05, 09:37 PM
this is always hard to explain, but here goes.
jack your truck up and put somw jackstands under the lower arms. then let the truck down about half way to take the full load off you supension.the tie rods should feel fairly tight. if you have allot of slack in the tierods when you yank on them chances are you need new ones.
best thing I can tell anyone is when you get tires or have the tires rebalanced(after the first 1500miles and at the half-life of the tires) and have the tire man check your front end(he should know how). Watch what they do and ask quetions.

well i'm out to go get allitle more drunck. happy Mardi Gras(what's left of it)

mattownsa97withmafproblem
02-06-05, 09:51 PM
thanks i'll try to remeber that LOL well to be honest with you my tires arent wearing evenly they are way to wide for the front and the rub when i turn lock to lock so ever since i bought them they've been wearing on the inside so i think there could be some flat spots on them or something cause at highway speeds there's like shimmy ever so often like we're talking 70+ i know it could be a million things get back to me if ya can :)

hey where does the servo go and how hard is it to replace with broken motor mounts again please get back to me :)

T Man
02-23-05, 01:06 PM
Servo is a transmission upgrade, firms up the 1-2 shift. It is very visible on the passenger side of the automatic trans

And dont be afraid of postingin the wrong spot. Hell I normally post in the open fourm and let someone change it for me. Ask all the questions you want, that is all most of us life for is to pass what we have learned on.

02-27-05, 02:02 PM

what about my o2 sensors they aint been changed, at least i dont think so since the truck was new, i think it needs to be done, i was pulling codes for a while but now they went away dont know why, any advice on making more power, like upgrading my valve train with roller rockers etc etc time money stuff like that HELP! :)

1993blazerlt
02-28-05, 10:19 PM
the o2 sensor is not very hard to change at all. If you were getting a code it should be changed. If your o2 is bad it will hurt your proformance and gas milage a lot. As for power upgrades there is a lot of info in the 4.3 V6 form. Also look in the articles section for even more info on some power upgrades

I can't say it woun't shatter on a stock engine, but the sunshell will normally hold for 250hp.

I have shatter a couple on a stock engine, but that wan't because of my setup. It was due to abuse offroad. i now go with the raptor sunshells when i do a rebuild.

where is the sunshell on the transmission ?

1993blazerlt
04-18-05, 10:09 PM
it is on the inside it connects the reverse drum to the 2nd sun gear

I have yet to see a vette servo hurt a transmission... Our transmissions are virtually identicle to that of a vette..

the guy i took it too told me that the sunshell is a major gm transmission weakness dont ask me why he did thought LOL dont get me wrong i'd put that ish in right away he's gonna charge me 75 bucks to do it not to bad :) imput would be nice
