There is not much on this board about testing of the CPI Electronic EGR Valves. If you get a Code 32, Supposedly you replace the EGR. But how do you test it. I have received that code once, and I was told to clean it with a dremmel tool and attchments and reinstall it with a new Gasket.
I've talked to 4 shop proprietors, and an authorized Genuine GM Dealer and all say "There is no way to test!!!"
C'mon if we can test everything but the ECM someone must know of a way to test these government regulated devices, wouldn't you think

there is a way to test them, i had the directions before, i got them from autozone, it actually said what each pin should read and which pins changed restance when the pintle was opened. The majority of the time this code is tripped the valve gets stuck open becasue a chunk of carbon gets stuck in there, if you are having repetive egr problems run some seafoan through the motor that will really help

Seafoam always helps, most of the time

Being from the midwest, what is "Seafoam" and where do I get it?

I have a bi-directional scan tool (Snap-On "Red Brick"). I can command from 0-100% open in 10% increments. The parameters read are "EGR Commanded" and "EGR Actual". Only way I know of doing it. Most higher end scan tools can do the same.

I do have various analog and digital multimeters so I will check with auto zone.
