i have notices that alot of the newer blazers and s10 have an intake system like this injen short ram intake system...

exactly what is the difference between applying it to a newer model than a 1st gen?... doesnt the round part fir right over where the cleaner used to? maybe im being stupid and not lookin at this correctly.. but why wont it work?

Those Injen intakes are SWEET!!!!
I think they are better that K&N but that is IMO.
Costs alot too!

yeah... but if there is really no difference... i am going to order one through my friend... i already asked him about them and he told me he didnt know the difference. but he said if i find out it works for my blazer he can get it for me for like 120

IIRC, they will fit onto a TBI, but it will be too tall. It's just like the Cadillac TBI intake, but without the flexible elbow where the pipe connects.

You can get these at a junkyard, just look for an older Caddy with the 4.5 or 4.9 TBI V8. I know they were in production at least until 1993. The Seville came with this engine, not sure if any others did. Make sure you get the air cleaner stud, too. This will only fit correctly with the Caddy stud, and the air distribution ring removed (sits under the intake with the PCV line connected to it). From there you'll need your own pipe (3" exhaust pipe, or PCV) and a K&N cone filter.

I don't know if the Ractives have the same geometry, but considering you can get the Caddy parts for next to nothing (I bought two studs for about $0.50), I would look into that first.
