I have a 91 S-10 Blazer, 2dr, 2wd. Only on a cold start, where it has sat for a day or so, I get a coughing as if the engine is choking. I have to give it some fuel and a little rev to get it to warm up properly. I get some bluish white smoke that smells like fuel. Im guessing it's getting choked by fuel on startup.
I dont htink it's the valve seals because thats usually an oil issue or is that oil?..It has 122k on it.
Any thoughts?
(Already rebuilt the TBI and replaced the IAC and Fuel Filter)

you might want to try some lucas oil addative, it might help reduce the oil usage, if your not loosing a lot of oil i would just leave it, it costs a lot and normally they start leaking after a while again anyways

actually, ive had great success with previous small blocks getting the valve seals replaced. the elky 305ho had it done, no smoking ever.
my bros 89 4.3L just done, stopped coughing smoke.
