How can i pump more power outta my 2.2?

I Have a 2000 S-10, and i wanna know what i can do to make it faster...i dont have anything else done to my truck other than what i've already done, which is listed below. I'm only 17 and i have a pretty tight budget...so nothing too extreme. But what are some easy ways to get more power without spending big bucks?

Other than cosmetic stuff (taillights, moulded rear bumper, rims, lowered 2.5, etc.), all i've done is my cold air intake and a B&M Short Shifter.

ya i only found one chip that i can put on, i'm probably goona get it...its a jet chips Stage 2 performance chip. I forgot to mention i also have flowmaster catback exhaust.

Don't spend a dime on it. Take every penny, stash it away and save up enough for a real motor. To make any appreciable power with it will take serious dollars and leave you wondering why you dumped all that money in a 4-banger.

ya i wasnt planning on spending stupid money...and there really isnt a whole lot you can do with this engine. So ya...thanks mucho for the advice bro's-i appreciate it.

Whenever I get about 2K together I'll get the rest of the parts to swap in the 6.0 & then I'll have my 4.3 w/ PCM & wire loom up for sale.
