How hard would it be to put a 78 200 CI V6 in a 89 blazer in place of the 4.3 in it. Would all the sensors and manifold just bolt on? The reason for the swap is my friends 4.3 took a crap and we can get a good running 200 for free. We figured we could use this engine until he saves enough money to rebuild the engine or get a 350 for it.

The exhaust manifolds may bolt up, but I don't know if the intake will bolt to the 200 heads. IIRC, it has the same bellhousing bolt pattern as the 4.3, as it's a 90* engine, so at least you're set for the tranny.

i was wondering about if the manifold will swap and i think the big issue will be that the 200 is semi even fire and the 4.3 is even fire. Will the distributors swap between the engines. If not would i have a problem just running Old style HEI with the knock sensors unpluged

The 200 dist. will have to stay with the 200. Were intakes/heads not discussed in the link I provided?
