This is probably a really dumb question, but if I lower my truck will my gas mileage get any better because of airflow or anything?

you would probally have to install some sort of belly pan on the complete underside of the truck to smooth out the air flow. but i dont think that it would be worth the effort...

If it does it's so small that you couldn't see a difference if any.But Nascar and all racing for that matter shows us that aerodynamics play a role in fuel mileage.Just how much so on a S10 lowered is a guess.

A tonneau cover would give you better mileage.

Hit the nail on the head.
What it will help is top speed and stability while you're there. Keeping the air out from under the vehicle is key for high speed stability and speed.

oh yea, i never said lowering was a bad idea or not worth it. i just meant that mpg gains wouldn't be noticed. i have mine lowered and love the way it handles now. between lowering and wider tires the truck is much more stable going straight and turning.
