Ac Delete

As of now, im wanting to completely take out the entire AC system. My belt or belt tensioner is squeaking so it gives me an excuse to do this. My question is, what kind of belt would i need to just bypass the AC, and how hard, or expensive, would it be to take out the AC entirely?

It's fun... http://www.s10planet.com/forum/showthread.php?t=6179. I picked up an A/C delete pulley off Ebay & didn't need to change belt length. I did need to grind away some material on the pulley mounting pad so I could hook up the P/S tube in its stock location. I replaced my box w/ one that doesn't have a provision for the evaporator core. You need to drop the inner fenderwell to get to the bottom bolts. Good luck gettin that top left bolt out.. it takes some patience & a long extension (about 6-10 inch), a swivel joint & a short socket. You can use the same blower motor, you just need to get the shorter squirl cage or else it won't fit. Look at my pictures on that link.. & GOOD LUCK!

Oh & the total investment was about $125 for the A/C delete box, pulley & metric bolts.
