Dtc (odbii, Odbi,...??)

I wanna know if there are a safe way to know what Diagnostic standard (ODBII, ODBI,...) are in my S10, can any one help me? Where I can find this information?

I have a 1995/1995 S-10 Vortc, automatic, VIN"W"

a 95 SHOULD have OBD II in it.

Maybe... but thats not 100% sure, I was thinking were I can find this information...

You're in Brazil? If you've got a TBI, you're OBD1. If it's CPI it could still be OBD1. Export vehicles can be much different than what we have here.

If you've got a VIN I might be able to help out.

The ALDL is under the drivers side dash (at least on ours it is). OBD1 has 12 pins and OBD2 has 16 pins.

Yes I´m in Brazil, and I bought it about 4 weeks ago! :)

Well, the full vin of my car is 1GCCS14W958192376, and it has CPI intake.

I count 16 the pins on the ALDL... here is a picture of it (sorry for my cel camera )

With this information I can assume that I have ODBII on my truck?

My S10 is imported from US, I think is the same of yours with minor modifications...

We started to build they here in Brazil only in 1996.

I dont have good pictures in this computer, but I think you can see it! :)

I love the way the 96+ latin american s10's look, its just so different...bring one up here no one would have a clue its got an s10's underpinnings. Truck looks good though.

A lot of scanners you'll have to lie to and input 96 for the model year. They won't read right otherwise. Your VIN indicates a USA built and equipped truck just like we have here.

Today I was searching for some information on the owners manual then I find this:
" You can tell wheater your vehicle has this systemby reading your tune-up label located under the hood. "

What is this tune up label?? Where under the hood I can find it?? :confused:

I already search but I cant find it!! :(

You won't have that sticker. It's a USA emissions ceritfication sticker.

have you been able to get any data trouble codes yet? I know that some 95 f-bodys had the OBD II conector but still were OBD I, just a thought if you can't get a scanner to work
