I thought I would share some pics of my knarly looking hand. I broke it on halloween night when I beat the **** out of a couple of guys who thought it might be funny to throw a soda bottle at my truck while I was driving down the road. I had 2 pins put in and thankfully they are going to be taken out on friday. Personally I am tired of knowing when it is going to rain.

Next time use something harder than your hand. Maybe a baseball bat.

ha ha kidding. i agree with the bat thing, or a tire tapper from a truck stop. like a bat with a lead tip. he he

i would have poured soda on them after beating their asses. nothing worse than being sticky and in pain. well i guess being to drunk to realize that you took a fat chick to your house would be just as bad.

That would probably hurt even worse.

Dude, I feel your pain. Before I got my license, my 4wheeler was my pride and joy. Well, to make a long story short. I shattered my hand and was in a cast for 6 weeks. The other dude never thought about screwing with me again, especially during the 4 weeks he couldnt see cause of all the swelling. HAHAHAHAHAHA

The pins in my hand for the first 3 weeks hurt 10x worse than when I actually broke it.
The orthopedist told me that if I would have stopped hitting them after I had broke it I might have avoided surgery. It was broke down at the bottom of the 5th metacarpal (you can tell by the pic which bone that is) where it connects to the wrist. The little piece that connects to my wrist that was busted off was also dislocated and sitting way far from where it needed to be. The doc told me I was lucky the bone didnt pierce the skin and come out!

my buddy's friend punched a brick wall after his gf upset him over the phone...bad idea....guess he pretty much broke every bone and had to have some kind of reconstructive surgery....

yeah, that is basically what they did to me. They used the pins so they didnt have to cut me open. Right after the surgery, my hand was black and blue from them massaging the dislocated peice back into position. They also used a vice thing to hold it, and that also contributed to the severe bruising. Thats what the doc told me when I asked him why it hurts worse now then when it was completely broken.

Been there done that but didn't need pins thank goodness.Hope you don't have as much trouble as I did.My middle finger grew back crooked. So I had to have it rebroke and reset. It hurt twice as bad the seciond go round.

nah, everything lined up good because of the pins. I just want them out and the nasty holes in my hand gone. I have to go to therapy once to learn some excercises. My ring and pinky finger arent functional and dont respond much and neither does my wrist because of them being immobilized for so long
yea i broke my collarbone over the summer when i wrecked my 4wheeler and that was the 1st bone i had ever broken...well a month later i fell and broke it in the same spot and it hurt about 20x's worse than the original break. the doctor said it was because the bone hadnt turned from cartilage back to bone so instead of actually breaking it i just tore the s*** out of all the cartilage that was holdin the 2 pieces of bone together.if i had the xrays i would post them on here to show the differences of the 2 times i broke it.
