well i got code P0440 (i think its that, accidentally cleared it) but its definatly Just EVAP system
1.) what is causing this?
2.) could a hole in my gas tank be causing this
3.) could the wrong fuel pump cause this?
any help would be appreciated, it needs to be inspected ASAP.

P0440 is a leak in the evap system.

well, theres definatly a few cracks in the metal on the top of my tank. i figured, since theyre just cracks, ill just put some tar or a temporary patch over it for now till i can buy a new tank

one more thing, theres a nice 2000 blazer out in the local junkyard by me, hit in the front end, woudl that tank work on my truck?

Nope. Blazer tank is in the rear.
