Anytime now im going to be ordering a clear third brake light cover. But before i order it i just want to know if anyone sells a red colored third brake light bulb so that it is street legal with the clear third brake light. I think the name of the bulb is a 2112 but cant find a red colored bulb anywhere. If anyone could help i would appreciate it and does autozone or checker or any magazine sell it.

Try a Pepboys.. they cater to the import guys & I'm sure they'll have a red bulb.

You might consider installing a red LED from SuperBrightLEDs.com.

The part number is 211 - 2. there are two bulbs in there. They are a tube style bulb like a dome light has. They are very hot too, which is why alot of S-series covers are wavy and will crack. The inside reflector takes a beating too. A LED version is the way to go. They sell em on e-bay all day. I make my own LED bulbs because I can. I use superbright bulk LED for cheap and use a fixture modified from the OE bulb. I have done the gague panel,A/C controls,headlight/foglight switch,window/lock/mirror panel, dome lights, floor lights,3rd brake light, fog lights and parking lts. You will need to do a little electronics math to get resistor value. LED operate at way less than 12volts. A single LED needs a 470ohm resistor. 5 LED in a row have a natural voltage drop and do not need a resistor. Anything in between you need to do the math. Always check the LEDs tech stats to find out its ratings B4 you do the math.
