Ever think about the LS1 camaro fans? About the same as a Flex-a-lite model 210 that fits the 4.3 radiator.

I will put it this way how can so many hot rodder be wrong about a fan no matter if it came of a ford or not.that Taurus fan is cheap and will out perform almost any aftermarket fan you can buy and the money you save can go for better things. The LS1/LT1 fans are great fans but they usually aint to cheap to be had The Taurus fans are plentiful and I bet you won't find one person who has used it that is disappointed.I am ...well was running one till I wrecked my truck and it cooled mine just fine.hell guys with built smallblocks use them to cool their engines and they work just great cooling them.but it's your money bro.

I like my tauraus fan.

I am doing annother project though, and was researching fans last night. I think we are going to go with a permacool on that one. We tried the ford fan, but it wouldn't fit(it isn't an s10).

The taurus fan isn't the best in all situations especially when it can't fit.And Perma Cool makes great products. But for a S10 it's hard to beat that Taurus fan.By the way rat is that supercharger kicking some ass yet.Cant wait to see that thing on some video on the strip.

No, i have been taking a long break from it. I need a cowl hood, and have just been procrastinating. Been working on a Sr. Design project for school with a few other guys, fuel injecting a '39 flat head ford. We have built an intake manifold from scratch, doing plumbing, getting the computer, and other stuff now for it. Now apparently we are using an escort fan on that project.

I think it's anywhere from '93-'96 & it's the ones that were from a car w/ the 3.1 or 3.8 V6 not the 4 cylinders.

I love my flex-a-lite kit #292. But I don't think that will fit the S-10 platfom... however what ever fans you decide to go with I'd strongly suggest using the flex-a-lite VSC controller & temp probe. (part #33054) the probe pushes into the fins of the radiator just like any other kit, but once you set the "on" temp of the controller the fans click on at 60% power to reduce the sudden current load and than over the next 10 degrees of coolant temp it will variably apply to 100% power. Once you shut off and walk away from the truck the controller will keep the fans on for another 30 seconds. It allows you to turn on the fans with the A/C compressor clutch and you can also install a manual override switch if you wanted.... when I shut down my truck and people still hear my fans going they look at me kinda funny, it sounds like a jet turbine winding down.

For the tauraus i like the '91ish-'95ish 2 speed fans in the 3.8L cars.

what's a typical install time for the taurus fan? I've been thinking about doing this for a while but I don't have the skills to do it myself and I don't want to spend a fortune on shop labor.
