Rear wiper

ok the problem is when i turn on the rear wiper it makes a weird noise like Baaaaaaaaaggggggghhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhh and the wiper wont engage to clean the window...its done it ever since ive had the car and the same thing happens with my girlfriends car, does anyone have any idea on whats going on its kinda annoying not being able to see out your back window unless you stop at the local shell station and clean the damn thing thanks!!!

Sounds like its time for a new motor. You could probably get one at a wrecking yard for about $20.00. Just swap it for your current one. They can be rebuilt but I have found its not worth the hassle with a used one being so cheap.

If you are going to go into the tailgate you could install the electric solenoid and button for the rear hatch from parts purchased at the wrecking yard at the same time as the motor (if you don't have this feature already).

So its just the motor that needs to be replaced?? cause my girlfriends truck has the exact same problem( she bought hers after i let her drive mine once) and i already have the button for the rear hatch...how much is one new?? cause i dont want to spend 20 bucks on a used one and 3 days later have the same problem again

Yeah, the motor is about all it could be. I don't think your model has any linkage. The arm attaches to a spline directly from the motor.

I've never bought a new one, you'd have to call a dealer. I'll guess it's between $50.00 and $75.00.

Sweet well i only live like 10 miles from a salvage yard and it seems they have a large stock of s10's so hopefully i can find what i need, plus if anyone needs anything they can give me a shout and ill check it out and you can just pay for part and shipping since we are all fellow s10 lovers i wont chage any personal fees
