I have a 99 4.3 4dr s10 blazer. My question is when I put my right turn signal it blinks faster than my left turn signal. How can I fix that problem and what will be needed.

Another thing is how can I turn off the automatic lights. Is there a way that i can have them off then turn them on if i wish to. My moms car has automatics lights too and she can turn them off.(she has a malibu)

Are any of your turn signal bulbs bad?

You can add a resistor in place of the photo light sensor. If you were handy you could probably wire up a switch to let it go through the resistor, or the light sensor.

Or you can turn on the parking brake slightly, then turn the truck on it will disable the auto lights.

If the right front is blinking faster than the left front replace the right rear.. if the right rear is blinking faster then the left rear replace the right front. You've got a burnt out bulb.

There was a thread on here a couple of years ago about disabling the auto headlights that would tell you which size resistor to put into the plug for the sensor. For my 2002 it was a 1.5K Ohm resistor. If your sensor is the same for your year as mine, use the same amount of resistance.

My left front and rear light both turn fast.

Blinkers are blinking fast indicating you have a blown bulb. If the right side is fast-you have a bulb on that side out. That is how you knw and it is suposed to do that. If the left side is fast-then you have a left side bulb out. Be sure to check side markers too and if there is a missing bulb-put one in

it may be the wrong wattage bulbs, if the bulbs are supposed 2b 21w and u only got 5w they will indicate like crazy

more than likely the relay is bad if the bulbs are good.

Old thread and I also don't know if this only works on specific years/models, but on my 2001 s10 zr2 pickup, if you hit the dome override button 4 times it will shut off your daylight running lamps. If you turn your vehicle off and back on again, they will automatically come back on. If you want to manually turn them back on, push the dome override button another 4 times an they should come back on.

park your truck turn the ignition key on and turn on your turn signals for each direction and do a walk around. if all lights are working then you may want to go and buy some bulbs that are exactly for your truck both front and back, just incase you have bulbs that fit and light up but are just the wrong wattage....if that doesnt fix then check for any switches resistors that may cause those symptons
