Here's my weekend project, putting in a B&M SuperCooler. Drilled one hole for the lower screw, and opened up a hole in the rad support (behind the oblong opening) to fit the two hoses and a grommet.

Here's the one I pulled off. Not sure what brand it is, probably an Imperial. It got a little ****ed up when I was removing the rad pull-throughs. I really hate those things!

The trans shop installed it back in February when I had my 1st replacement torque converter and shift kit installed. The new converter puts out more heat from the higher stall speed, so I figured it's time to step up the cooling!

Hmm, I need to paint that steel strap and nuts black so it doesn't stick out as much behind the grill. Waiting on some JB Weld on my driver's side marker light to harden before I put it all back together.

nice install. Mine last cooler didn't come with screw on fitting and i had problems with the lines blowing off the cut steel lines on my old truck so instead of getting the fittings i had hydrolic lines made that screw into the radiator and clamp to the cooler. It cost me 60bux, but they'er SS braded and actualy replase the steel lines altogether and it looked cool.

yea you definatly need to paint the strap it'll stick out against the old paint on the core support, but not as much as a that shiny strap will.

Real clean install and placement Matt.Ive used the B&M coolers before and they are great quality. You have one of the better done TBI trucks ive seen. And I would say with all you've done to it is one of the strongest ones also.

Couple more pics to show how it looks with everything back together. Painted the strap, too.

Got a couple more wounds on the grill guard from playing shopping cart tag in a parking lot a few weeks back... :D

btw Sparky, I think B&M is calling them 'stacked plate' coolers. That one's rated at 24,000 GVWR.

Thanks for the compliments, Max. I've sure thrown enough time and $$ at it! I'm still waiting for Wynjammer to finish their 4.3 TBI kits, then I might be about done with it...
